Industrial Truck and Tractor Operators
Special Requirements
· In Virginia, it is necessary to obtain a Commercial Drivers License in order to operate any type of industrial truck.
· Contact any Division of Motor Vehicle Office to make arrangements for the written and road tests which are required when obtaining this license.
· Applicants for commercial driver’s licenses must not have had a previous license suspended or revoked.
· Truck drivers involved in interstate commerce must meet requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
· They must be 21 years of age and must pass a physical examination unless they have a waiver.
